Iranian Dates

Iranian dates are renowned worldwide for their high variety and excellent quality. Dates require a hot and dry climate to thrive, flourishing in areas with high temperatures and low humidity. In Iran, the provinces of Kerman, Hormozgan, Baluchistan, Bushehr, Khuzestan, and Fars are the leading producers of dates, all situated near the Persian Gulf.

There are various types of dates grown in Iran, each with its unique characteristics and uses. Some of the Iranian date varieties include:

Mazafati Dates (from Bam): These dates are very soft and sweet, mostly cultivated in the city of Bam.

Piarom Dates (also known as Maryami): Semi-dry and very tasty dates grown in the south of Iran, in the city of Hajiabad.

Zahedi Dates: Available in both dry and fresh forms, these dates are found in the provinces of Fars and Kerman.

Kabkab Dates: Grown in the southern provinces of Iran, these dates have a soft texture and a sweet taste.

Each type of date has its own specific features, including sweetness level, texture, color, and size. This diversity has made Iranian dates very popular in global markets.
